TAP attic insulation

TAP attic insulation installation

Pacific Coast Termite has the training and tools to install TAP insulation in California attics as part of comprehensive pest control management plan.

An attic cleaning service is done prior to TAP installation.

What is TAP insulation?

TAP is a natural fiber insulation treated with boric acid and other proprietary formulations to produce fire-retardant, thermally superior, sound-deadening insulation with pest-controlling properties.

  • Thermal insulation is a material that has air-filled cells or voids, or heat-reflective surfaces, which retard the transfer of heat to cold.
  • Acoustical insulation retards the transmission of sound.
  • Pest Control insulation, is EPA approved and labeled pesticide to control listed insects.

Tap into 2 benefits of TAP insulation

  1. Pest Control
TAP helps control pests in your home. Pests can breed and form colonies in the attic and behind walls, coming out at night, seeking food and water. More than just annoying, they can severely damage building structures. TAP is an EPA-labeled pest control insulation, treated with pure boric acid. Although deadly to many insects, it is acceptable for use around humans and pets. It eliminates self-grooming insects, upon contact. Insects cannot build up a tolerance to TAP, and it never needs re-treating. TAP controls ants, cockroaches, silverfish, termites, and other insects listed on the EPA label.
  2. All Natural
TAP is all natural and permanent! It is made from all natural boric acid and recycled newsprint; thus while you’re saving energy, you’re also conserving landfill space.

Where and how is TAP installed?

As part of a total pest management package, TAP can be used to cap existing insulation in attics, or can be installed in the attics of a new home construction.

Blown-in TAP forms a perfect fit in attic, seeking nooks and crannies, filling the entire cavity.
